It Just Keeps Getting Better, KS Pastor Wants Government to Kill Homosexuals

This time from a “pastor’ in Seneca, KS.

During a recent sermon, Pastor Curtis Knapp of New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca, Kansas called for the government to kill homosexuals.

“They should be put to death. That’s what happened in Israel. That’s why homosexuality wouldn’t have grown in Israel. It tends to limit conversions. It tends to limit people coming out of the closet. — ‘Oh, so you’re saying we should go out and start killing them, no?’ — I’m saying the government should. They won’t but they should. [You say], ‘oh, I can’t believe you you’re horrible. You’re a backwards neanderthal of a person.’ Is that what you’re calling scripture? Is God a neanderthal backwards.. in his morality. Is it his word or not? If it’s his word, he commanded it. It’s his idea, not mine. And I’m not ashamed of it.”

Here is the sermon audio. The quote begins around the 26:50 mark.

Maybe Pastor Knapp should read what else would cause a person to be put to death in the Bible. Or, maybe he should remember Jesus’ words, “Whoever hasn’t sinned should throw the first stone.” (John 8:7)

And on a side note, we don’t live in a theocracy like this guy thinks we do. It’s not the government’s job to enforce biblical ethical codes.

  1. Seneca is NOT Kansas City!!!! I grew up in KC and my parents grew up in another small town near Seneca. It is a VERY small town in northeastern Kansas. I’m not saying KC is the most progressive place on the planet, but this dude is not representative of it. Plus, most of KC is in Missouri, anyway. Regardless, he’s obviously an uneducated moron, with a big ball of hate where his heart should be. He doesn’t anymore know God than Osama Bin Ladin did.
