A few weeks ago, I posted about the educational system in Kentucky considering teaching the Bible in schools. Oklahoma is one step closer to teaching the Bible in schools.
The Oklahoma Senate on Thursday passed a bill that will allow public schools in the state to offer elective courses on the Bible beginning with the 2011-12 school year.
The Oklahoma House now has to vote on the bill.
I still maintain this is a bad idea and think this will end up before the Supreme Court, where it will be struck down as unconstitutional. Just my two cents.
